A love poem to a Rose

~ An alliterative love poem ~
~ An alliterative love poem ~

I find you terrifyingly tantalizing,
Your rich succulent shades of shadow,
Mixed with bright patches of breath-taking beauty,
Lure me in with luscious longing.
Oh, the sound of petals swishing sensually.
Oh, the smell of the rich earth so sumptuous.
I am in love with the pace of peace within you,
And deeply desire to rest with you.
I wish to drink deep of your delights.

And lose myself momentarily,
To taste the thick air,
And breathe in your bounty.
Dear rich rose so ripe, so ready.
Where are you?
Wait for me,
Wait for me,
For I come to you whispering wonderful words of love.
